‘Home Town Takeover’ is coming to Fort Morgan
Just 83 miles NE of Denver is home to the beautiful yet mighty small-town of Fort Morgan. Earlier this week, HGTV and married couple Ben & Erin Napier, co-hosts of ‘Home Town Takeover,’along with Dave & Jenny Marrs of Fixer to Fabulous, headed to Fort Morgan, Colorado for the first episode of Home Town Takeover.
Season 2 is kicking off in unfamiliar territory for the powerhouse duo, as HGTV network wanted to give Ben & Erin an opportunity to challenge their creativity and see though a “fish-out-of-water situation,” states Ben. The outlook is to incorporate fun into the thriving town of 11,000 for a renovation like no other! With the whole towns support, the goal is to revive the small-town and help complete almost 20 projects throughout the community—including business, homes, and beautiful public spaces.
Fort Morgan was originally established along the Overland Trail to provide protection and supples to emigrants traveling to and from Denver and the various mines in 1865. In 1866, General John Pope formally named it after Christopher A. Morgan. In 1868, the fort official closed after serving roughly 1,300 soldiers.
