DCSD: Where Every Student Matters; Every Dream is Possible
Excellence meets opportunity in DCSD. As the third-largest school district in Colorado, with more than 61,000 students, we’re a network of school communities dedicated to helping every student discover their unique talents and reach their full potential.
DCSD serves all of Douglas County, including suburban and rural populations in Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Franktown, Highlands Ranch, Larkspur, Lone Tree, Parker, and Sedalia.
Among our many award-winning schools are:
- 48 elementary schools
- 9 middle schools
- 9 high schools
- 6 alternative schools
- 20 charter schools
That’s 92 schools, plus 41 preschool locations!
A Track Record of Success
- DCSD is the top-scoring district in the Denver area for the second year in a row.
- Our graduation rate is 92.2%, a 15-year-high mark and well above the state average of 84.2%.
- We are one of the only districts in the country to have met or exceeded our 2019 (pre-pandemic) scores in every subject and every grade for two years in a row.
- The Class of 2025 earned more than $113 million in scholarships and saved over $20 million in college expenses through DCSD’s concurrent enrollment partnerships.
- DCSD offers 76 Career and Technical Education and Concurrent Enrollment Pathways (including Trades) and is one of the nation’s leaders in “blurring the lines” between PK-12, higher education and industry.
