Located nine miles north of Denver, Northglenn was originally started as a planned community in 1959. The plan called for acres of open space for park and recreation development along with residential, industrial, educational and commercial plans. This residential development eventually grew to include 7.5 square miles of land and a population of more than 33,000. Northglenn offers residents a well-planned trail system, 550 acres of parks and open space, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, athletic fields, and a recreation center. Northglenn has been named Tree City USA 11 times. | www.northglenn.org
