So often, shopping for a home feels like an unending tug-of-war between this and that. It’s either close in or far away. Too urban or too suburban. A bland new home or a charming fixer-upper. Then there’s the all-new, now-selling Horizon Townhome portfolio from Brookfield Residential. Offering a unique blend of cutting-edge ideas and soul-satisfying style as well as a just-right location in the appropriately named neighborhood of Midtown.

Starting With The Neighborhood

Midtown describes itself as a “boutique new home neighborhood.” Like the nearby historic neighborhoods of Berkeley and Highlands, Midtown is also what people might call near-urban. Less than five miles from all the music, museums, sports and nightlife of downtown Denver. And yet with the kinds of amenities and conveniences — such as dog parks, people parks and other gathering places —  typically found in new suburban communities.

A Nice Slice Of Town

Unlike the ‘burbs, Midtown has its own walkable, urban-inspired mix of fun places to grab a cappuccino, toss back a brew or two or just enjoy an evening hanging with friends and listening to live music. There’s Bruz Beers, an artisanal brewery specializing in both traditional Belgian-style beers as well as fun, innovative variations on the Belgian style. A new eatery, Early Bird, has brought to Midtown a chef-inspired take on breakfast and brunch with menu items such as Izzy’s Kickin’ Chicken & Waffle (talk about something that will tempt anyone out of bed in the morning). And on any given evening, residents can stroll over to the neighborhood gathering spot known as The Shed, where friends meet up on the plaza, enjoy a stroll through the garden or maybe even catch some live music under the stars.

A Bigger Slice Of Park

Midtown already includes a number of delightful parks and play areas, which are scattered through the neighborhood so residents are never more than a few minutes’ walk away. And when referring to ‘play areas,’ Midtown offers more than the typical tot lot. The neighborhood boasts truly fun spaces, such as the splash pad in Home Plate Park. With its dog park, Midtown even has a spot where Spot can get his zoomies out. And soon Midtown will be extending a park on the west side of the neighborhood, bringing great new features such as additional walking trails, a sports lawn, an open-air pavilion and fitness stairs.
