Englewood combines a caring community with endless opportunities in a district where all students can belong and thrive. Englewood focuses on a well-rounded education, providing students with the opportunities to discover and explore their passions. To help further the educational experience, each student enrolled receives a district issued Chromebook for use at school and home.
A quality education in Englewood Schools starts in preschool. With a four-star rated Early Childhood Education Center, our preschool programs offer services focused on the whole child, family and community. Our elementary schools offer full day kindergarten and the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This program has won the John J. Irwin Colorado School of Excellence for five consecutive years in a row.
In addition to our traditional education, our leadership programs in our middle schools and alternative educational opportunities at the high school level have attracted students from outside districts. In fact, approximately 25% of all Englewood students come from outside the school district, making it one of the top districts in the state in terms of open enrollment. Englewood also offers hands-on STEM education and state-of-the-art STEM Labs at every elementary, middle, and high school.
Students are Prepared for the Future
Englewood Schools offers several programs to help students prepare for life after high school. Through courses that engage students, we prepare them for the rigors of college or to succeed in a career. Students have access to Advanced Placement, honors and concurrent courses, allowing students to enroll in college-level courses and earn college credits. Last year, Englewood saved families more than $324,000 in college tuition by offering students concurrent enrollment courses.
Englewood also offers Career and Technical Education courses. Students can get first hand experience and training in business, agriculture, green energy, STEM, culinary arts & hospitality and cosmetology.
