A well-rounded education is one that provides students with a close, caring environment while giving them the opportunities they need to explore their passions. Whether they enjoy athletics, art, drama, STEM or all of the above, their education should provide them with enriching experiences that bring learning to life.

A smaller district conveniently located just south of Denver, Englewood Schools is your choice district for a caring and complete education from preschool through high school.

Englewood combines a caring community with endless opportunities, to create a district where all students can belong and thrive.

What Makes Englewood Unique

A quality education in Englewood starts in preschool, with a four-star rated Early Childhood Education Center that offers services focused on the whole child, family and community. In kindergarten, Englewood offers full-day kindergarten at all four elementary schools. All students in Englewood are given the opportunity to engage in 21st century learning by receiving a district issued Chromebook for use at school and at home. Additionally, Englewood offers hands-on STEM education and state-of-the-art STEM Labs at every elementary, middle, and high school.

Preparing Students for a Successful Future

Englewood Schools offers several programs to help students prepare for the rigors of college and a career. These programs engage students through relevant and rigorous courses, help them to plan for life after high school, and provide multiple ways to earn a high school diploma. Students have access to Advanced Placement and honors courses, which allow them to do college-level work while still in high school, and in some cases, earn college credit. Last year, Englewood saved families more than $324,000 in college tuition thanks to our concurrent enrollment courses, which allow students to enroll in college-level courses and earn college credits at the same time they earn high school credit. Englewood also offers Career and Technical Education courses such as business, agriculture and green energy, STEM, culinary arts & hospitality, and cosmetology. These courses offer hands on experiences that keep students engaged and also prepare them for the future job market.

Learning Options

Students have many options for learning including an elementary International Baccalaureate (IB) program, an accelerated program in an award winning (John J. Irwin Colorado School of Excellence for five consecutive years) middle school, alternative educational opportunities at the high school level, as well as more traditional educational opportunities. Approximately 25% of all Englewood Schools’ students come from outside the school district, making it one of the top districts in the state in terms of open enrollment.
