According to a recent USA Today report, the state of Colorado ranks #1 in the nation for having the best economy.  Largely in part to its employment.  According to Forbes Magazinedue to the cost of doing business, cost of living, education levels, outstanding college presence, working age population and venture capital investments, Denver is one of the top cities for startups, coming in at #4.

Denver came in behind, Columbus, St. Louis and Atlanta.  The following cities rounded out the top ten:  Baltimore, Cincinnati, Portland, Philadelphia, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Charlotte.  Out of the top cities, Denver is ranked #3 for venture capital investments, with a total of $2.3 billion in the past three years.
