Denver Health is an integrated healthcare organization that is committed to providing high-quality health care services. Twenty-five percent of all Denver residents, or approximately 150,000 individuals trust Denver Health with their health and one-third of Denver’s children are cared for by Denver Health.
Denver Health is known for being a level one trauma center, and is the only Adult Level I and Pediatric Level II trauma center in Denver. In addition to having a large trauma center, Denver Health also has a large network of primary care locations and specialty services to care for a number of conditions in adults and children.
Family Health Centers
With eight locations in Denver, and a new location opening in 2016, Denver Health has a comprehensive network of primary care locations for adults and children. The primary care locations are staffed by internal medicine specialists for adults, pediatricians for children, and family medicine providers who can care for an entire family.
School-Based Health Centers
Denver Health has 17 in-school medical clinics. These locations provide sick care, vaccinations, physicals, dental care and behavioral health services to Denver Public Schools students at no cost to families. These health centers are staffed by medical professionals and all locations are open during the school year. Select district locations are open during the summertime.
Pediatric Urgent Care and Emergency Center
Denver Health’s Pediatric Emergency Center and Urgent Care Center is open 24 hours a day and is staffed by pediatricians and nurses specially trained in pediatric care.
Denver Health Babies
Denver Health is one of the busiest hospitals in Denver and delivers more than 3,000 babies each year. The labor and delivery unit has large birthing suites, and the mom/baby unit has all private rooms. Denver Health also has Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, so that mom and baby are never far from each other after birth. The Denver Health staff includes specialists in obstetrics and perinatal medicine (high risk pregnancy) and a large group of Certified Nurse Midwives and lactation specialists.
