Now that you have decided to move to Denver to live, work and play you will also find comfort in knowing that you can plan your retirement here as well. Three Colorado cities are listed within the top 15 cities to retire in.
ValuePenguin (a data analysis company based in NYC) used criteria such as Housing and Taxes, Healthcare and Safety, Travel and Leisure, and Quality of Life to determine overall city scores.
According to the report, Fort Collins, which is about 90 minutes north of Denver, came in overall as #2 on the list. The city scored particularly well in the category of Healthcare and Safety, coming in 7th out of 200 cities. They scored 8th in the category of Quality of Life.
The overall ranking for the Denver/Aurora/Lakewood metro area was not far behind Fort Collins, coming in at 9th place. Boulder came in at 12th.
Other Colorado cities to make the list include Colorado Springs, just to the south of Denver (25th overall ranking), and to the north of Denver, Greeley came in at 61st.
