In a recent study conducted by Redfin citing the hottest neighborhoods in the US to live, Colorado’s own West Arvada was named 4th hottest neighborhood in the nation.  One might ask, what is it that makes a neighborhood “hot”, let’s find out.

Redfin conducted studies on neighborhoods with the “greatest year over year page view” growth on Redfin.com.  From the study, it was discovered that the top 10 neighborhoods had median home sales of less than $500,000, and out of those 10, three neighborhoods fell well below the national median of $279,900.

Homes in West Arvada had a median sales price of $376,500.  Compared to Denver’s median sales price of $415,925.  With the recently added RTD Light Rail station with service to Downtown Denver and several new restaurants, breweries, locally owned shops, miles of hiking trails, it’s no wonder why West Arvada is gaining popularity.

Two other Colorado neighborhoods made the list, however not in the top 10, but definitely worth mentioning.  The North Park West neighborhood, with a median sales price of $519,950 and Stapleton, coming in with a median sales price of $554,200.
