Denver is proud of their own professional hometown athletes.  Notable athletes include, Tyler Polumbus – Denver Broncos, Chauncey Billups – NBA All-Star, Jeremy Bloom – NFL Player and champion freestyle skier, Missy Franklin – five time Olympic gold swimmer,  Matt Hasselbeck – NFL Quarterback,  Amy Van Dyken – six time Olympic gold swimmer and Mark Knudson – first Colorado native to play for the Colorado Rockies.

Recently, another Colorado native athlete has made headlines, Denver Bronco running back Phillip Lindsay.  Lindsay started his football career at Denver South High School, where he still holds the school’s all time rushing yards record at 4,587.  Recruited by the University of Colorado, Lindsay continued to set records for all purpose yards (5,760) and yards from scrimmage (4,683).

Undrafted but signed by the Denver Broncos in May 2018 as the number three running back, Lindsay is the first undrafted offensive rookie in NFL history to make the Pro Bowl.   Standing at 5ft 8″ and 190 lbs, Phillip Lindsay is a powerhouse that has proven where passion, dedication and hard work can get you.
