Families trust Denver Health

Families trust Denver Health with the most important days of their lives. The health care system delivers half of all babies born in Denver, and its main campus, at 777 Bannock St. in downtown Denver, was designated as one of Newsweek’s Best Maternity Care Hospitals. Denver Health provides mothers and babies with the highest-quality care during pregnancy, birth and follow-up visits.

Denver Health is the region’s only all-encompassing trauma center, offering Level I adult care and Level II pediatric care. A partnership with Flight for Life for air medical transport means that the hospital can deliver trauma care faster and more effectively than ever before. Denver Health is proud to be one of the leading trauma centers in the world with one of the highest survival rates, ensuring families have 24/7 access to the highest-quality care when they need it most.

Exceptional care extends beyond its 550-bed hospital. Families count on Denver Health to care for their children through its 19 school-based health centers, which provide medical, mental health, dental and behavioral health care to all Denver Public Schools students and their siblings at no charge.

Multiple Locations to Serve

Denver Health also has 10 community health centers throughout the city, making primary and specialty care convenient and accessible. Denver Health has four urgent care centers in Denver, as well as a virtual urgent care option, for non-emergency injuries and illnesses.

Denver Health continues to meet the health needs of a growing community. Construction is underway on a state-of-the-art, three-story medical facility to replace the Sam Sandos Westside Family Health Center, opening in 2027. Denver Health also is expanding services to a new part of the city this year with the Denver Health Southeast Medical Center, at Evans and Monaco.

The community trusts the Denver Health Paramedic Division to respond to 911 calls for emergency medical services and ambulance transportation. Denver Health paramedics also serve the cities of Glendale, Sheridan and Englewood and Denver International Airport.

Denver Health is home to the city’s only Orthopedic Center of Excellence, where internationally recognized experts are committed to getting patients back to doing what they love.

Quality healthcare from Denver Health

Denver Health received the highest rating in every category of the 2025-26 Lown Institute Hospitals Index, including areas of patient safety and outcomes. The health care system also ranked No. 1 out of 46 hospitals in Colorado and No. 4 nationally for social responsibility.

The passion for improving the health of all people in the community is supported by the Public Health Institute at Denver Health and Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety. These Denver Health divisions advance public health and improve access to care through teaching, research and public programs.
